Day out in Rutland Water Park

One bright and breezy Sunday, our family joined other family friends for a picnic day out in Rutland Water Park. It was our second visit to the park in two years. The first visit was nothing to write about as it was a wet April day to do a picnic.

Rutland Water Park is one of the bigger water parks owned by Anglian Water. Set in 4200 acres of open countryside, it is the central rural attraction in England's smallest county of Rutland and offers activities for all the family. It is a 25-minute drive from Peterborough.

We parked in the Visitor Centre located in Sykes Lane carpark. There you will find lots of places and activities for the family like the beach, children's playground, crazy golf and picnic areas. We settled in the woodland area near the beach for a picnic.

While the children are having a good time at the beach I took a quick stroll around the park area to take some photos. I brought along my Olympus OMD E-M10 (https://amzn.to/2LuP7lq) with Olympus 12-50mm kit lens (https://amzn.to/2BRcWoh) and Olympus Pen E-PL5 (https://amzn.to/2wioqM7) with Olympus 40-150mm f4-5.6 zoom lens (https://amzn.to/2PAzo7T). The photos I managed to get does not give a complete picture of what the park has to offer to its visitors. I hope to go back and take some more photos to share here.
